401 PreWork “The Growth Mindset”
Deliberate practice can be summarized as: Activities designed, typically by a teacher, for the sole purpose of effectively improving specific aspects of an individual’s performance.
The key ideas behind deliberate practice is that it: Pushes you just outside your comfort zone, Repeated often, Feedback on results in continuously available, It’s highly demanding mentally, It’s difficult, & It requires good goals.
Bias: I found that I need to work on the work/home/self-care balance. I spend entirely to much time working and not enought time on the other parts of this equation. I could also work on improving my communication skills as I believe that is a never ending process.
Emotional Intelligence: I could work on my relationship management skills as I was not that effective in pursuading people to adopt my point of view recently. I am very good at reading people’s subtle body language or voice and tone inflections.
